Aucxis Trading Solutions nv (ATS) was established in 1983, when it was called Schelfhout Computer Systemen nv. The name was changed on May 1,2001, following a merger with the Canadian company Aucxis Corporation.
From the very beginning, ATS specialised in two niche markets in the agricultural sector:
1) The development and implementation of electronic trading systems, from computerised auction halls to state-of-the-art e-commerce applications. Auctions and sales organisations around the world use our systems for the sale of perishable products such as flowers, fruit, vegetables, fish, coffee... For detailed information please consult the other part of our website.
2) The manufacture of software and hardware for measuring and control systems, developed specifically for temperature and gas conditioning of cold stores that contain perishable products.
The ATS cold store department soon specialised in the temperature and/or gas conditioning of cold stores for hard fruit. The Belgian fruit sector, especially in the initial period, made considerable investment in our technology.
However, in the mid-nineties the fruit sector was faced with a crisis, forcing ATS to diversify and specialise had to find new markets for our technology: the temperature conditioning of cold stores for industrial and commercial refrigeration. This resulted in a gradual change of work method: while in the fruit sector we supplied to the final client, or worked as subcontractors for a cooling installer, we now became a supplier of components to refrigeration companies.
Today our quality control systems are used all over the world to preserve perishable products.
Markets in which we specialise include :
- CA and ULO storage of fruit and vegetables (control, registration and monitoring)
- Industrial cooling (control, registration and monitoring)
- Commercial cooling (data registration and/or control, monitoring, dispatching)
- Laboratories (data acquisition)
