Electronic trading over the Internet

In Europe over a century ago agricultural and horticultural products were first sold by the use of mechanical auction clocks. This technology was gradually adopted over much of the European Continent and through the years it has been subject to a continuing evolution, such as electronic auction systems, remote and simultaneous auctions, remote bidding from home or office and Internet enabled applications.

Aucxis Trading Solutions is the world's largest supplier of electronic trading systems for agri-business and the fishing industry and offers over 100 years experience in supplying tailor-made electronic marketing tools to auction markets and selling organisations world-wide. We have always actively monitored the marketing requirements of the perishable goods industry and offer efficient state-of-the-art business tools for today's competitive marketplace. Fish, flowers, fruit, vegetables, fish, coffee and other products are marketed through electronic trading systems of varying sophistication, every system tailor-made to meet the precise requirements of each individual customer.

Our role goes far beyond mere technical development; in fact our projects are not designed or implemented until a detailed feasibility study or system analysis is completed.

Mission

We are facilitators, not market operators.
Our mission is to streamline the trading processes of agri-products and to help agri-markets to compete successfully in an ever-changing marketplace by efficiently integrating the advantages of new technologies without compromising on critical factors like transparency and reliability.

History

  • 1983 ATS is established as Schelfhout Computer Systemen (SCS)
  • 2001 SCS changes its name in Aucxis Trading Solutions.
  • 2001 ATS acquires the assets of Nieaf Systems, established in 1902, another leading supplier of electronic trading systems, together with the Dutch flower markets together with VBA Aalsmeer and Flora Holland
  • 2004 The ATS shares are purchased by three parties from the auction market industry:

    · from the flower sector: "FloraHolland", with 5 markets in The Netherlands,
    · from the fishing sector: the "EFICE" group, which already represents 9 fish markets in three countries.
    · from the fruit and vegetable sector: "LAVA", representing 6 Belgian auction markets.

    · joined by a participation from the ATS management team

    This new, strong shareholder structure allows ATS to ensure continuity and stability to its client base in the world and to remain faithful to its company philosophy pillars:

    · be an independent supplier in the market;
    · offer customised products and services to the benefit of its clients;
    · invest in new technologies and complementary products;
    · design and implement flexible and forward-looking tailor-made solutions.
